SHRIDHAR JAWAK 

​Shridhar D. Jawak received his MS in geoinformatics from University of Pune, India, in 2009. He is currently doing his PhD research in geoinformatics at Polar Remote Sensing Department, National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Goa, India. His research experience includes polar and urban geospatial information extraction and 3D visualizations, high resolution remote sensing data and digital image processing. His research interests, as a geoinformation scientist, include a variety of applications such as multi-temporal and multi-source satellite data fusion, spatial modeling, very high resolution satellite data processing, DEM generation, spatial information extraction, multi-satellite data analysis and interpretation, digital image processing, aerial photo and image interpretation, geostatistical analysis, and photogrammetry etc. He has participated in XXXIII (2013-2014) and XXXI (2011-2012) Indian Scientific Expeditions to Antarctic. He has presented his current research in numerous international Antarctic science conferences through oral presentations. He has contributed eight research papers in peer-reviewed journals to international community.
